Breaking the Silence: Encouraging Open Conversations About Suicide

Alenelachehu Charitable Organization, in collaboration with Ashagari Charitable Organization presented an insightfull mental health awareness raising event themed "Breaking the Silence: Encouraging Open Conversations About Suicide", the event included an enlightening presentation on suicide, testimonial from first hand survivor and Q and A panel discussion. The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including recognizing warning signs, destigmatizing mental health, promoting access to resources, and fostering supportive communities. Panelists shared practical strategies for individuals to support loved ones who may be struggling with mental health challenges and emphasized the significance of seeking professional help. ACO ensured that attendees left the event with a deeper understanding of mental health issues, increased awareness of available resources, and a sense of empowerment to address these challenges within their own communities.
